CONFIRMED-SAVE: At about 11:45 am, a car with Sedgwick County, KS tags approached Tiller's parking lot and stopped at the gate to take literature from Donna. The driver explained to Donna that her friend (or relative) is 14 weeks pregnant, and that this would be the wrong decision for her. She said that her friend "
had no business being in there, and was currently inside Tiller's, waiting her turn to have an abortion." (Apparently, this lady, or someone else had dropped off the pregnant friend earlier in the day.)
The driver was successful in going inside to be with her friend. She brought her out before she had the abortion. On their way out of Tillers, they stopped again to talk to Donna, this time at the curb along Bleckley Street. They accepted some baby clothes from Donna and talked more to Donna about her situation.
They told Donna that this was the THIRD time that the pregnant lady had attempted to abort this child that she is carrying, and that last time she went to Via Christi Hospital to have the laminaria removed. (Laminaria is inserted in preparation for an abortion - usually one or two days before the actual procedure.)
With her being only 14 weeks pregnant, and with this being her third attempt to go through with an abortion, Donna was worried that this child could still be killed by abortion before it is born, so, Donna talked them into going into Choices Medical Clinic for a sonogram.
Donna went in with them, to insure that they were given immediate service - and a 4-D sonogram.
Donna talked to them again when they came out. This time the pregnant lady was smiling and was very positive about keeping her child. |
