CONFIRMED SAVE; Donna Lampkin, Anna Wood, Carmen Wittler and Jennifer McCoy:
At about 2:50 pm a pregnant African lady (Nigerian) came into Tiller's with a girlfriend. They were in a late model blue two-door, and they stopped and accepted literature from Donna Lampkin on their way in.
They also spoke to Donna in broken English. After several minutes of conversation with Donna, they went in for a scheduled abortion anyway, against Donna's advice.
They were in Tiller's for at least 1/2 an hour.
When they came out, they stopped to talk to Donna again at the gate. Both were emotional and said that they just could not go through with the abortion. This time, Donna was able to get them to go over to Choices Medical Clinic.
By the time they came out of Choices Medical Clinic, Jennifer McCoy was at the gate with her newborn baby, and she let the pregnant young lady hold her baby.
The Nigerian girl, who by now had totally changed her mind about having an abortion, said she wants to hold her own baby soon.
She accepted baby clothes and blankets from Donna and Carmen.
Here is an e-mail from Carmen on this save:
5 October 2006
Hi Mark,
I just wanted to let you know we had a confirmed save today. A couple of young black women came out of Tillers, as they were leaving in their vehicle they stopped to talk to us. They were very shy, and soft spoken. They werent going thru with the abortion. We then directed them to Choices next door. I did give them a blanket and said that it was a tradition to give to the Mothers a blanket. I also told them of the free sonogram at Choices and if we could help them with else to let us know. I also praised them and for changing her mind, and what a wonderful thing they had done. These young ladies didnt speak English/American, sounding foreign to me. I think Donna will be added more information to this report. At the gate at the time was Donna Lampkin, Anna Wood and myself.
It was a good day because of the prayers from the church group from Louisiana. They inspired us and are doing wonderful work for Jesus. They were a major influence on these ladies.
Could please sign me out. I forgot. I left at 3:30pm. Thank-you.
May God Bless us all!
