TURN-AROUND; Donna Lampkin, Dale Weldy and Mark Gietzen:

At around 7:30 am, as we were completing the set-up of the Crosses, a lady in a small tan pick-up truck parked directly behind the Truth-truck.

Dale Weldy immediately went over to talk to her, and she told Dale that she was waiting on her friend who would be coming in for an abortion.

After Dale talked to her, I (Mark S. Gietzen) took some literature to her, which she accepted and began looking at. I asked her to help her friend make a positive decision about the life of her child. She said that her friend had a medical problem, and that abortion was her only option. I tried to get her to take her friend to Choices Medical Clinic, and assured her that abortion was NOT the only option.

After I left, two more ladies in a full-sized pick-up truck showed up, and talked to Dale. They were waiting on the SAME lady. When she showed up, they all went in to Tillers together.

However, at 8:08 am, less than 1/2 an hour later, they all came out, and reported that they did NOT have the abortion. The Operation Rescue flyer with Tiller's mug-shot that they had accepted from us, was in one of the lady's hands, and it appeared that they were impacted by it.

They spoke to Donna about her problem - saying that the pregnant lady has cervical cancer. Donna also tried to get them to go to Choices Medical Clinic, but they would not go.

Donna thinks that it is possible that there is no cancer at all, but that the cancer story was used as a means to justify the planned abortion, hence no interest in Choices Medical Clinic's free medical help.

In any case, the four women left together, and were planning on going shopping. Abortion is not on their agenda …at least not today.

<<<UPDATE 2007-Nov-14>>>
This same lady, came in for an abortion today. Dale Weldy recognized her, even though she was in a different vehicle. This time she came into Tiller's in a Red Tracker, with someone older - it appeared to be her Mother, but we do not know for sure.

Donna Lampkin reported that it is the K.U. Med Center that is sending her here for the abortion.

We have subtracted this Turn-Around from our count.
