CONFIRMED SAVE; Donna Lampkin & Margaret Mans:

A young black man and woman, in a silver Toyota car with Texas tags, came into Tiller's for an abortion appointment at 1:55 pm. They were running late for their appointment, but they accepted some literature.

Donna was able to talk to them at the gate. They are from Dallas, Texas, but going to college in Great Bend, Kansas. She is 12 weeks pregnant. Donna tried to get them to go to Choices medical clinic, but they went into Tiller's instead.

Fortunately, about 1/2 an hour later, they came out of Tiller's together, and left. They had not had the abortion. The lady smiled to Donna as they left, and they went southbound on Bleckley Street, but did not turn in to Choices Medical Clinic.

However, when the got to Bleckley and Orme Street, they backed up, turned around, and came northbound on Bleckley Street. This time, they went into Choices Medical Clinic, where they stayed until near the end of Donna's shift.

When they came out of Choices Medical Clinic, Donna spoke to them again, and the lady confirmed that they had decided against the abortion, and that they were now planning to keep the baby. She had seen her baby on the sonogram.

Donna asked them what had made them change their mind about having the abortion. The lady was not specific in her reply. Donna asked, "Was it the Truth-truck, the literature, the Crosses, or something I said?"

The lady replied: "It just did not seem like the right thing to do once we got here!"

One of the pieces of literature that Donna had given her, was the Press Release on Christin Gilbert's death, and they spoke a few minutes about that. It is obvious that they were aware that Christin was also from Texas.

Before parting, Donna gave, and they accepted, a nice hand-made baby blanket, and some baby clothes.

In just the duration of one shift on-site, Donna and Margaret Mans had made friends with this couple and had changed the world by helping to save the life of their 12 week old unborn child.
