CONFIRMED SAVE (Twins!), Donna Lampkin & Lupe Hernandez:

This was a special training shift, wherein Donna Lampkin was training Lupe Hernandez, a new KCFL volunteer on her very first on-site shift today.

At about mid-morning, a young Black couple in a silver 4-door car, came into Tillers but stopped to take information at the gate from Donna and Lupe.

However, they did not want to talk. Rather they parked and went into Tillers. Then, at about 11:am, they came back out and stopped at the gate on their way out, and this time they talked freely to Donna and Lupe.

They had gotten a pre-abortion sonogram, and found out that they were pregnant with twins. They told Donna that once they found out it was twins they decided against having the abortion.

(It is also possible that it was going to cost more, but they did not mention cost as the reason for their change-of-mind.)

They accepted two newly-made identical hand-knitted baby blankets which Donna had just gotten from a volunteer, as a gift for the twins.

This young couple seemed relieved to have made the life-saving decision.
