CONFIRMED SAVE (Mark S. Gietzen): We had a wonderful Confirmed Save this morning at the South Wind Abortion Facility. A 7-week pregnant, beautiful, high school senior from Wichita South High, was scheduled to have her unborn child killed this morning, at South Wind. By the grace and help of God, she stopped at the gate, while still on Bleckley Street, accepted our printed literature, and was willing to talk (and cry) at length. Not being on the South Wind driveway, Carl, the security guard, did not try to prevent me from talking to her. Her primary reason for wanting the abortion is that she and her parents found out that the father of her child, whom she had hoped to marry, has another girlfriend who is also pregnant with his child, and at approximately the same 7-week gestation. She is wisely worried that he is not someone whom she can trust. She is living with her parents now, and not in need of immediate help from us, but she is concerned about the responsibility of being a single Mom, which was not in her plans. After talking at length, I took her to Choices Medical Clinic next door, and gave her my contact information for help after the baby is born. |
