CONFIRMED SAVE; Dale Weldy & Judi Weldy:
While working the gate in the early morning darkness, several client cars came in to Tiller's parking lot between 7am and 7:30 am.
Among the cars that came in was a red compact car with Franklin County, KS, tags, carrying a young Hispanic couple. An attempt was made to communicate with them as they came in, but they did not stop to accept literature.
However, even though no literature changed hands in the early morning, there was successful verbal communication with some of the early arrivals. At one point, Tiller's Security Guard, Carl Swinney, came out to usher cars in, because he did not want us talking to them, and some cars were stopping to talk to us.
Then at 8:11 am, the Franklin County car that had gone in, came back out, and the driver voluntarily stopped at the gate to talk to Dale.
The male driver told Dale Weldy that they had changed their mind, about having the abortion. The lady, who was beaming a smile, leaned over and looked at Dale, via the driver's-side window, and proudly said in broken English; "We didn't do it!"
Dale invited them to go to Choices medical Clinic, but the driver declined, saying that they did not need the help. They left happy and apparently comfortable with the life-giving decision that they had made. |
