CONFIRMED SAVE: A young couple from Junction City, KS were on their way in to Tiller's parking lot, and, as they told us later, they saw the photos on the Truth-Truck, the rows of white Crosses, and the "Abortion is Painful" sign on their way in. This all made them uneasy about going in.

Even though it was bitter cold out, Donna was out, standing at the gate with literature in-hand to give to them. They accepted the literature from Donna and talked momentarily. They told Donna Lampkin that they were here for a scheduled abortion, then went on into Tiller's Parking lot, apparently not wanting to be late for the scheduled abortion.

From what they told Donna, it was obvious that like so many others, they were unsure that they were making the right decision.

Once in the parking lot, however, rather than get out of their car immediately, they sat there and read the literature while parked in the parking lot. (In fact we do not know for sure if they ever got out of their car and went into Tillers or not.)

In any case about two hours later, they drove out of Tiller's parking lot, stopped and talked to Donna again. This time they followed Donna's direction to go to Choices Medical Clinic next door.

At Choices Medical Clinic, they were able to look at their child on ultrasound, and at that point they firmly decided to keep their baby.

The exceptional thing about this couple was their willingness to talk to us, and to share their reasons for changing their mind. They were moved upon seeing the Crosses, the signs, and the pictures on the Truth-truck which was parked across the street.

They had gotten up early and left Junction City, completely intent on having the abortion today. However, Donna's presence, standing out in the cold, just to give them literature, moved them most. As they read the literature that Donna had given them, they became less and less sure that they wanted to go through with the abortion.

Later, after leaving Choices Medical Clinic, they went back to the gate to talk to Donna. They accepted a hand-made blanket for their child.
