CONFIRMED SAVE; Donna Lampkin and Faith Klug:
At around noon, two ladies in a black car with Sedgwick County, KS tags, came slowly down Bleckley Street, southbound toward Tiller's driveway. However, Donna & Faith were able to direct them toward Choices Parking Lot and away from Tiller's driveway.
The car went past Tiller's and past Choices Clinic, then turned around in a residential driveway and came slowly back toward Tillers, northbound.
Not wanting them to get within the area of Tiller's driveway, where Tiller's Security Guard, Carl Swinney, would come out and interfere with the conversation, Donna stopped them on Bleckley Street to talk to them.
The two ladies were a mother, (name given but is withheld from this report) and her 15-year-old daughter (name given but is withheld from this report), who are experiencing family trouble and financial problems.
The teenage daughter is 21 weeks pregnant, and the only reason that they are considering an abortion is because they do not have a stable place to live. They are currently living in a motel, in a temporary arrangement and are seeking and receiving some limited government assistance.
Donna Lampkin was able to direct them to Choices Medical Clinic, where they stayed for about 2 1/2 hours. Donna extended her shift to be there for them when they exited Choices Medical Clinic.
At about 3:pm when they came out, they talked more to Donna Lampkin and showed her the sonogram photos, and explained more about their family and financial situation.
The staff at Choices Medical Clinic had been helpful to them, but Donna did not feel that the United Way Resource List that was given to them was going to be enough help in their situation, so she called Operation Save America, Donna Lippoldt, to help follow-up with this mother, daughter, and unborn child, to make sure that they have the financial resources to take care of their needs until their situation changes. |
